We are delighted to confirm that we are the Mechanical & Electrical consultant to the Rigby Group’s £25 million Imperial Park development at Coventry Airport .
Accessed from Siskin Way, the scheme is set to transform land previously occupied by Coventry Airport’s passenger terminal into a new manufacturing and distribution hub which has been designed to meet increasing demand for high quality warehouses with excellent accessibility to the UK’s regions and major cities. Once complete, the 29 acre site will boast three units of 350,000, 165,000 and 60,000 sq ft respectively.
The entire development is to be built to a market leading specification, achieving a BREEAM ’very good’ rating as well as EPC ratings of ‘A’.
It will be Edmond Shipway’s role to manage the utility infrastructure to the site and undertake quality control, having already successfully handled significant upgrades to the local high voltage network via the primary substation. Passing through major works to the A45 Toll Bar underpass, the complex process involved negotiation with both Highways England and the Toll Bar contractor to agree a strategic route through this live construction project.
Daman Ranby, our Director of M&E, said of the programme; “We are delighted to have been appointed to the Imperial Park scheme which will have a hugely positive impact on the region’s economy. Most projects we work on involve us managing incoming utility services and we are certainly well placed to assist our clients in that regard, however we are particularly pleased to have had the opportunity to apply our extensive experience in tackling the unique challenges presented by this project.”
