Edmond Shipway have been appointed by the Trust as Cost Advisor, CDM Co-ordinator and P21 Supervisor for this project which is due for completion at the end of 2013.

The Development comprises 7,750m2 of accommodation with a two-storey Administration and Resource Centre and four single storey wards each providing twenty single ensuite beds for adults of working age and older adults. The Resource Centre will house a variety of community services including: Adult Acute Day Centre, Outpatients, Crisis Service and Specialist Services.

The site has a gently sloping profile and has been designed with a retaining wall through the middle to give a split level arrangement. Despite the poor quality soil, the extent of cut and fill has been kept to a minimum with the use of lime stabilisation. The building will benefit from Ground Source Heat Pumps to help towards its target of BREEAM Excellent.
