Delighted to announce that Center Parcs Longford Forest has been crowned Ireland’s “Building Project of the Year” at the Irish Building and Design Awards 2019 following a judging process which included a public vote.
It is a remarkable achievement for foreign investment to gain this accolade and a testament to the quality project we delivered which is now transforming the Irish tourism market and the community in which it is based.
Edmond Shipway acted as Project Managers, Employers Agent, Cost Consultants and Mechanical and Electrical Consultants on the €233 million project.
The Village is located five kilometres from Ballymahon and brings together the high quality features for which Center Parcs is renowned, including up to 466 self-catering lodges, 30 apartments and more than 100 indoor and outdoor activities, a spectacular spa, a range of restaurants and cafés and the iconic Subtropical Swimming Paradise, with water rides and fun for all ages. The new Center Parcs, opened to guests Summer 2019 and created approximately 750 jobs during its construction.
